Students are eligible to participate in the school’s Safety/Driver Education Program upon reaching the age of 15 years and six months of age.  The cost of the program is $360 which affords the student the following:

A.    An on-line Pennsylvania Department of Education 30 hour approved course through Wilson’s Driver Training School.

B.     Six “Behind The Wheel” driving lessons with a Dallastown Area School District certified instructor with the additional opportunity for each student to take the Pennsylvania Driving Exam up to two times.

Interested students should see Mr. Harvey in the High School Office to register for the program.  Payment can be made by cash, check (payable to “DASD”), or credit card (PaySchools Link).  After payment in full has been made the student will be given information to take the on-line course.  Students may start their driving lessons with a Dallastown Driver Education Instructor after successfully completing the on-line course and acquiring their learner’s permit at the DMV.  A certificate of program completion will be issued to students once they have completed the 30 hour on-line course and the six hours of behind-the-wheel driving.
