Welcome to the DAHS Gifted Support Department! “Dedication to Excellence.” Our Mission: We strive for excellence in all of our programming, including the gifted program. We believe that all students benefit from instruction that challenges them to reach meaningful academic goals. Our mission is to identify gifted students through established criteria set forth by the state of  Topic of Focus for the School Year: Throughout the course of the school year, gifted students work on ISPs, or Independent Study Projects. They begin by choosing a topic of their choice and then research that topic. Most sources are valid online websites and articles. Students then create a product and then present that product at the end of the fourth marking period. PowerPoint slideshow, Adobe AfterEffects, speech, and video are all examples of possible products.   Last Modified on April 24, 2012
