Hartman accepts a donation from Peoples Bank along with other community organization representatives.  This gift will provide innovative educational opportunities for students of Dallastown Area School District through the program of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

McCracken, for the 2010 Dallastown Area Educational Foundation's Signature Project, a Courtyard of Honor, an outdoor learning environment located on the secondary campus of the Dallastown Area School District.

The Allocations Committee of the Dallastown Area Educational Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the fall Educational Improvement Tax Credit Grants.  A total of $3,969 was awarded to:       
  • $1,970 to purchase 15 Flip cameras for the high school World Language Department which will allow students to present projects and advanced presentations with new technology.
  • $1,999 to purchase MacBook Pro for high school Television Production Classes to further their objectives and curriculum with advanced editing skills.
The Allocations Committee of the Dallastown Area Educational Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the fall Educational Opportunity Grants.  A total of $1,670 was awarded to:
  • $720 to for initial funding of a new program, Girls on Track, at Dallastown Area Middle School, which will enhance the physical education/health curriculum for selected middle school girls.
  • $500 for scholarships for the Opportunity to Learn Club, which will help to serve as an incentive for middle school students to continue to fundraise for an outdoor classroom experience in the Grand Canyon. Funds will cover upfront costs for the student fundraising.
  • $450 to Team Revolution, middle school, to provide seed money to students for a project to promote volunteerism and community service.
