-Read 20 minutes each night to build stamina and practice your reading strategies. We are currently reading Adventure books in Book Club and concentrating on adventure elements and type of conflict.
-In writing, we just wrapped up our Realistic Fiction stories, which students will receive back and graded before Thanksgiving Break. We are now entering our Persuasive Writing unit.
-Study Island Blue Ribbon Challenge is up and running! Students have from now until March to complete and pass at least 25 topics on Study Island. This will help them prepare for PSSAs and feel more confident with testing material! Students are familiar with all topics available, as they correlate directly with Language Arts curriculum.
Word Work: Students received Week 7 words on Friday, November 15. Students will be tested on Monday, November 25. Material includes:
-2 commonly misused words ()
-3 no excuse spelling words (piece, should, usually)
