The Profile of a DAHS Graduate Foundational Knowledge and Skills A DAHS graduate is a creative and critical reader, writer, thinker, and communicator who has been exposed to rigorous and comprehensive academic programs and uses that knowledge to act responsibly. Information Knowledge and Skills A DAHS graduate acquires and accurately (competently) evaluates (uses) information to become a critical thinker and lifelong learner (problem solver). System Knowledge and Skills A DAHS graduate has the knowledge and skills to interact effectively within various social, technical, and organizational systems. A graduate is a critical thinker and effective communicator willing to ask questions which create solutions. He or she will also be able to analyze information gained from both independent and group research, making him or her capable of functioning in a global society. Technological Knowledge and Skills A DAHS graduate, as enabled by ever-improving technology, is prepared for post-secondary and workplace challenges. Personal Qualities A DAHS graduate is prepared with intrapersonal and interpersonal skill sets that will enable him or her to contribute productively and successfully in the workplace and community. Interpersonal Skills A DAHS graduate is a strong leader who works well with others through cultural awareness, sensitivity, and positive interaction, while establishing his or her role in the community and global society.
