The 57th annual Dallastown Area High School Science and Engineering Fair took place on January 27-29, 2017. Over 100 student projects were registered for this event, in 11 different scientific categories. Projects were judged by a team of more than 20 scientists and engineers who volunteered their time and talents.
Projects were displayed in the high school science classrooms, and the fair was open to the public on Saturday, January 28 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm and on Sunday, January 29 from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. An awards program was held in the high school auditorium on Sunday, January 29, beginning at 3:00 pm. In addition to ribbon place awards, numerous special cash awards were given by generous individuals and local businesses.
The Dallastown Area High School Science and Engineering Fair has been in existence for over 50 years. Projects are judged by community-member experts in the respective categories (college professors, engineers, physicians, etc.)
First and second place winners at the Dallastown fair are eligible for entry in the York County Science and Engineering Fair. Top projects at this fair advance to the International Science and Engineering Fair!
