School Messenger 02-14-19 - Inclement Weather Calendar Changes.pdf
SchoolMessenger® is a notification system for school community
engagement. It delivers high volumes of messages through multiple
channels such as voice, text, email, etc.
Principals/schools
manage the messages they send to their families. This page is for the
messages sent by the Superintendent's/Assistant Superintendent's office.
Through
the early months of the school year, typically August through December,
our superintendent, Dr. Ronald Dyer, will send messages to
parents/guardians and staff to call attention to the upcoming school
schedule. He'll reference the District's Calendar-at-a-Glance to highlight planned early dismissals and school closings for in-service days, parent-teacher conferences and holiday observances.
When warranted, the system is also used for emergency messages,
mostly to announce inclement weather disruptions to our normal school
and office schedules. Those messages will either be sent
by Superintendent Dr. Ronald Dyer or Assistant Superintendent Dr. Joshua
Doll and will be posted on the HomePage of our website.
If
you see no other information on this page of our website, it simply
means that prior messages were made inactive after the applicable time
period had passed.
Please be sure to keep your contact information current to ensure receipt of district-wide and school-based messages.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Superintendent's Office at 717-244-4021 ext. 4261, or your school office.
