Special Education Special Education is a program designed for students whose needs cannot be met in the regular education program. These programs include services for students with learning, mental and physical disabilities, as well as mentally gifted students. All special education programs are in compliance with guidelines from the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act '04. Parent Survey During the month of May, the Pennsylvania Department of Education will complete a cyclical monitoring of the Dallastown Area School District's Special Education Department. If you currently have a child receiving special education services, then you should have received a letter inviting you to participate in the parent survey. If you did not receive a letter and you are interested in participating in the survey, please contact the special education office at (717) 378-0054. |
