Forms requesting an excused absence for an educational experience outside the classroom are available in each school office and each elementary website. These forms must be received prior to the absence or the absence will be considered unexcused. Telephone requests will not be considered. Pre-arranged absences are limited to ten (10) days and may not be taken during PSSA testing periods.
When planning for obtaining approval for educational trips, be sure to schedule around the following dates:
Grade 2 Terra Nova Assessment March 16 - 26, 2010
Grade 3 PSSA (Reading and Math Assessments) April 7 - May 7, 2010
Grade 4 PSSA (Reading, Math and Science Assessments) April 7 - May 7, 2010
Grade 5 PSSA (Reading, Math and Writing Assessments) April 7 - May 7, 2010
