Welcome to Dallastown Area Intermediate School and to the Yellow Community! My name is Ms. Rotz and I serve as the Community Principal of the Yellow Wing.
Let me introduce myself to you. I am a graduate of Eastern Nazarene College (in the Boston area) with a degree in Elementary Education. After college, I moved home to Adams County to teach second grade for Bermudian Springs. After two years, I looped with my students to third grade and remained in third grade. During that time, I received my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The Pennsylvania State University, as well as my administrative certificate. In 2007 I joined the Dallastown family as assistant principal at Loganville-Springfield Elementary. During the 2009-2010 school year, I had the opportunity to serve as assistant principal for both Dallastown Elementary and Leaders Heights Elementary. I also hold the certification for ESL Specialist and Leadership and am currently serving as the Title III Coordinator for Dallastown Area School District. When I’m not doing school-related tasks, I enjoy traveling, reading, scrapbooking, playing French horn in my church’s orchestra, photography, and perfecting my chocolate chip cookies. (I have a friendly competition with my aunt.) I also enjoy spending time with friends and family. I’m delighted to be the Community Principal of the Yellow Community, Team Purpose! I can’t wait to get to know each of you even better and to partner with you for our Dallastown students. If you have any questions or concerns, please, feel free to contact me. |
