Classroom Guidance Lessons All students in grades 4 and 5 will be involved in receiving classroom guidance lessons as a weekly encore for one marking period. Mrs. Dougherty will be the counselor teaching the curriculum. Students will participate in one class per cycle for a total of 7 lessons. This 30 minute movie was shown to your child’s class under the supervision of their school counselors. Following the movie, students were given a chance to discuss the content of the realistic and dramatic presentation. The storyline evolves around Raymond, a typical 12 year old student. He is subjected to verbal and physical ridicule by his classmates. Raymond becomes the victim of constant bullying by Mike, Troy, and their followers. One day the bullying and name-calling goes too far, an accident occurs, and the bullies, in the face of tragedy, realize how serious their actions have gone.
