*Bully Prevention Lesson in Fifth Grade Guidance Class

5th grade students will have the opportunity to view an educational movie entitled:“BROKEN TOY”. This 30 minute movie was shown to your child’s class under the supervision of their school counselors. Following the movie, students were given a chance to discuss the content of the realistic and dramatic presentation.

The storyline evolves around Raymond, a typical 12 year old student. He is subjected to verbal and physical ridicule by his classmates. Raymond becomes the victim of constant bullying by Mike, Troy, and their followers.

One day the bullying and name-calling goes too far, an accident occurs, and the bullies, in the face of tragedy, realize how serious their actions have gone.

Please feel free to contact your child’s school counselor if you would like more information regarding the content of this movie.
