Hello everyone,
I would like to tell you how excited I am to be working with you as the computer teacher! I graduated from Penn State nine years ago with my degree in Elementary Education, and a minor in Spanish. Originally from Pittsburgh (my blood runs black and gold,) I moved to York to teach fifth grade at Leaders Heights Elementary. I taught there for three years, then I moved to Loganville-Springfield Elementary where I taught fifth grade for two more years. Three years ago I graduated with my Masters in Educational Leadership from York College, and I served as the Administrative Assistant at Loganville-Springfield for one year, and a Community Principal at the Dallastown Area Intermediate School for the past two years. While serving as a Community Principal, I earned my Certificate in Educational Technology Integration from Penn State and my PA certificate in Business, Computers, and Information Technology. When I’m not at school, my husband and I spend every spare minute with our three year-old daughter, Anna, and our soon-to-be one year-old, Nick. I even try to squeeze in reading, scrapbooking, and time to play on the computer! Everyone else in our family still lives in Pittsburgh, so we spend many weekends making the four hour drive back “home.”
