4th-6th Grade Learning Support
Welcome back to school! I hope that each of you have enjoyed a relaxing summer with
your families and are ready for a great year here at DAIS!
Since I am new to the Dallastown family, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. I was born in North Carolina and have also lived in St. Louis, Pittsburgh, and now Dallastown. I received my Bachelor’s Degree from Westminster College in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania with certifications in Elementary and Special Education as well as Middle School Math. I am currently working on my Master’s Degree in Teaching and Curriculum at Penn State York. This is my first year at Dallastown, but prior to coming here I spent three years teaching 7thgrade learning support at a nearby district. This year I will be working with students in grades 4-6 in Reading. I am thrilled to join the Dallastown family!
I truly believe that your child’s success in reading this year depends not only on what he/she achieves at school, but also what you help your child achieve at home. My door is always open. If you need anything throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to contact me by note, phone, or email. I will return your message as soon as possible! Also, please check your child’s agenda daily. The agenda is not only where he/she will be writing down daily homework and long-term projects, but it is also another way I may communicate with you.
I am looking forward to a successful school year!
