Providing a safe, innovative, and challenging student-centered learning environment that will prepare each student of the Dallastown Area School District to become a successful, ethical, responsible, and contributing citizen of this changing world is our Mission. The instructional program of this district is determined through a continuous process that seeks to balance the curriculum regulations established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education with the needs of our community of learners.
The Dallastown Area Educational Foundation was established to ensure the further development of academic and cultural opportunities for all students enrolled in kindergarten through grade 12. And, Giving is critical to the well being of the foundation. Since its inception in 2002, the Dallastown Area Educational Foundation has been generously supported by district employees, the business community, alumni, and retired staff and we continue to appeal to them.
The foundation is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development as an Educational Improvement Organization, providing tax credits to eligible business donors. Donations of up to $300,000 receive a 75 percent tax credit; a two-year commitment provides a 90 percent tax credit.
Under one of its signature themes--"Legacy", the foundation also supports the Dallastown Foundation Scholarship Committee , a student scholarship program for Dallastown students, and Dallastown Area Communities That Care , a community-based program designed to reach out to young people and their families to address risk factors facing our youth.
Consider a donation to enrich the educational experiences of our students. For more information, please contact President Matt Manning at [email protected].
