National School Breakfast Week

Have you ever wondered about the impact a healthy breakfast could have on your child's performance in school?

Breakfast Makes a Difference! The Food Research and Action Center's 2007-2008 School Breakfast Scorecard confirms how important breakfast is for children:
  • Improved memory, verbal fluency, and problem-solving capability1
  • High standardized test scores1
  • Exhibit better concentration1

In celebration of National School Breakfast Week, and to encourage students to eat a healthy breakfast, a FREE breakfast meal will be offered to all students.

The schedule of free meals is:

Elementary Schools:
  • Kindergarten will receive a free breakfast meal every day for the week of March 3-6.
  • Grade 2 - Tuesday, March 3
  • Grade 1 - Wednesday, March 4
  • Grade 3 - Thursday, March 5

Intermediate School:
  • Yellow Community - Tuesday, March 3
  • Red Community - Wednesday, March 4
  • Blue Community - Thursday, March 5

Middle School:
  • Grade 8 - Tuesday, March 3
  • Grade 7 - Wednesday, March 4
  • Grade 8 - Thursday, March 5
  • Grade 7 - Friday, March 6

High School:
  • Grade 12 - Tuesday, March 3
  • Grade 11 - Wednesday, March 4
  • Grade 10 - Thursday, March 5
  • Grade 9 - Friday, March 6
