Dear Parents and Guardians,

With the ever-changing circumstances surrounding COVID-19, Dallastown Area School District is preparing the DASD Health and Safety Plan for the start of the new school year. This plan serves as a guide and outlines the safe reopening of our schools.

School officials are currently developing the plan which will reflect the results of the recent survey completed by our school community and staff. A finalized DASD Health and Safety Plan will be presented to the DASD Board of Directors for approval during the meeting on Thursday, July 16, 2020.

In preparation for the start of the school year, the DASD Board of Directors approved the following actions:

  • Revised 2020-2021 Calendar-at-a-Glance which reflects a change in the start and close of the school year.
    • September 4, 2020 - First Day for Grades 7 and 9
    • September 8, 2020 - First Day of School
    • June 10, 2021 - Last Day of School

We appreciate your flexibility to this adaptation which will enable us to provide essential training and preparation for the safe return of our 6,427 students.

  • DASD Resocialization of Athletics and Activities Plan which allows the safe start of athletics and school sanctioned activities.
