Kids Group - small group meetings focusing on topics of need (examples: expression of feelings, behavior and choices, family changes, coping with worries, social skills, and many more) Offer culturally sustaining small-group counseling services based on individual student, school and community needs; student data; a referral process; and/or other relevant data (examples: expression of feelings, behavior and choices, family changes, coping with worries, social skills and many more).
Individual student meetings as needed.
Implement School Counseling Programs that impact student growth in three areas: academic, career, and social/emotional development.
Assist new students in the transition to our school.
Support students' emotional, social, and academic needs.
Talks with parents, teachers, and community supports and collaborates with administration, teachers, staff, and stakeholders for equitable school improvement goals.
Attend meetings to meet the needs of students.
Provide students with a culturally responsive school counseling program that promotes academic, career, and social/emotional development and equitable opportunity and achievement outcomes for all students.
Assist with referrals for outside agencies or community assistance when appropriate.
Develop and maintain professional relationships and systems of communication with faculty, staff, and administrators to support students.
