The mission of the Department of Buildings & Grounds is to ensure
that all school district facilities are appropriately maintained and
operated.
The district's Maintenance Team of 11 provides preventive and
corrective maintenance, and is responsible for handling day-to-day
building operations including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing
needs. In addition to the grounds keeping for all eight school
buildings, the department also oversees all district athletic fields.
The
Department of Buildings & Grounds employs a crew of approximately
50 custodians responsible for cleaning and maintaining each school as
well.
